How long does it take for withdrawal symptoms to go away?
I smoke, what I would say to be, a lot of weed. About 3 blunts a day (1.5 grams per blunt) Today is day 1 of no more marijuana. But I feel HORRIBLY depressed, frustrated, and intolerably bored. Suffering from insomnia, food taste like sh*t now and I am having a very difficult time being optimistic.
I quit because I think the psychoactive properties in the weed is screwing with my head. I feel really paranoid about everything. I draw the craziest conclusions out of nothing. idk…
My friend said not to quit, for it will make things worse. (he explained to me moderation is the way to go..but to be honest I feel weed is the root of my problems..seeing as all my main problems started around the time i picked up weed as a habit)
Or maybe I have some kind of disorder and weed is amplifying it. idk..but i just want to be happy again =[ and btw when im high my social skills are pathetic. and now they seem to be bad when im sober.
I hope this blows away in a week and im back to normal!

heroin, amphetamines, withdrawal, aftermath…?
Hello,
I will try to make it short… I got mixed with vicious, intelligent criminals… I liked to smoke marijuana socially and i think it all started when i met them first and i smoked a splif they made which was probably marijuana mixed with heroin. Then i started sniffing what i thought was cocaine but was actually heroin mix probably. Anyway i got manipulated into taking really big quantities of povders over the years. I was also being brainwashed all along as I’ve quit school and i was arguing with my parents allot. Anyway now i wake up every day in the world where i’m 20 years old, back in college, stooped seeing these people and i started being clean like 2 months. I moved from a big quantity to nothing from one day to another… I told my parents everything but they are not very supportive, they keep on telling me that my presence in the house is depressing and they don’t want to talk to me. I still live in one house with them. I am starting to lose balance and i wake up every morning seeing how i’m getting crazy, i am worried that in few weeks i will be unable to communicate with an outside world. I get occasional head ackes in different areas of my hed but mostly on back-left side. I vision is weird i can’t see normally ( i went to opticians, results- almost perfect sight 0.25) From outside i look normal, healthy but a bit sad. Inside i’m losing my mind!!! I went to see a gp but they just offer me painkillers and say that i look fine. I found out that some of my symptoms can be caused by spinal-cord related diseases. I didn’t get a chance to even start my life really and i already feel like a zombie. Suicide isn’t an option but i wish i still had a chance to get my life back. It all happened in 5 years, i am now sober and have no trouble with staying off things, i don’t smoke, i don’t drink alcohol but i feel as if i was dying every day, when i do excerise i feel as if i was burning my mussels… I tried everything i know could help, i will appreciate any suggestions, any sort of help. Thank you.
also i have problems with breathing and throat (swallowing is weird and uncomfortable) …
I guess my main questions are: what can i do to find out what is physically wrong with me and should i do excercise? would an mri scan of my brain be usefull or should i see a neurologist? In terms of mentality i’m a bit paranoid and can’t be spontaneous, i feel as if i had no personality anymore and i was just a reflection of other peoples feelings, should i see a psychiatrist? I think maybe a gp sees to many issues here and wants to save money by telling me im fine and its just paranoia? what can/should i do? PLEASE HELP!

Are these withdrawal symptoms or depressions?
Over the weekend I made a mistake and went a little bit too far when partying. I ended up taking about 1.5 – 2 grams of coke, one ecstasy, at least five Xanax, plus I smoked at least 4 grams of Marijuana, and took two 30mg Adderall.
Over the past three days I have slept a minimum of 14 hours each day, fallen into crying spells, been more hostile, and had suicidal ideation.
Were these symptoms triggered by the misuse and abuse of the aforementioned drugs, are they just depression symptoms, or are they withdrawal symptoms?
What should I do about them? What course(s) of action should I take?

hydrocodone withdrawal?
I’ve been consistently taking hydrocodone for the past 14 – 16 days. I’m only taking 1 -2 a day, but i’ve also laced my weed with it and smoked it. i did that 5 – 6 times. i’m not sure what the dosage is, but i know it’s somthing like 500-5 ? not sure the mg.
My heart is pumping really hard non-stop. I haven’t had a sip of caffine in 2 days, and i’ve been drinking it pretty regularly. the only problem is i can’t sleep .i’m suffering from minor nausea, headaches and i had diahrea earlier. generally, i feel like shit.
is there anything i can do to speed up the detoxing process? are these even withdrawal symptoms? if so, should i ween off or go cold turkey? i haven’t had a dose in 2 days.
i have smoked cigarettes and marijuana (non-laced)

Xanax Withdrawal?
I was prescribed Xanax for my anxiety and stress after I had a bad bout with the flu and I hadn’t felt any better for over 2 weeks even though I had been to the hospital several times and had a cat scan and nothing was out of the ordinary , had a chest x-ray and all my internal organs were fine, my lungs are clear, my ears were infection free, I will admit for about 10 months I did use marijuana in a way which some would consider moderate to heavy usage and about 17 days ago I abruptly quit after feeling all these different symptoms, now that I’m on xanax I have felt better but my head still feels heavy, a kind of cloudy feeling and my eyes seem to feel like theres this pressure behind them, I’m only on 0.25mg of xanax and I only have a few pills left, should I continue the prescription or would I have any withdrawal effects to deal with from taking 15 pills over a 5-6 day period? I just haven’t felt like myself after I became really ill weeks ago, and all test show I’m fine.
can anyone suggest a safer alternative other than xanax something that will not have the same side effects of xanax and still help me with the anxiety and stress? I have a doctors’ appt. tomorrow and I would like to suggest something other than xanax for relief.

Cannabis Withdrawal?
I’ve been reading on the internet about all these withdrawal symptoms people are experiencing after stopping heavy marijuana use.
My friend has been smoking three times a day for the past 6 months. She usually smokes about four bowls on the pipe, and about 5 or 6 on the bong, each session.
The stories I have been reading are about people who have been smoking heavily for the past 3 or 4 years, some even more. They’ve expierenced withdrawal symptoms such as: anxiety, insomnia. Restlessnes, high energy, loss of appiette, (here comes the crazy part) and even vomiting.
Does anyone have any input if they’ve expierenced these symptoms while quitting after using regulary for 6 months or less?

question about withdrawal from drug? this does not pertain to me in any way?
if you quit marijuana for a while and then get withdrawal, if you do it again then the withdrawal will be worse and begin again. so if you were to wait like 5 months when its totally over could you do marijuana again with no problem? i mean i know the whole point of withdrawal is to quit for good but what would happen?
again this does not pertain to me this is psychology

Are these withdrawal symptoms normal when quitting marijuana and alcohol?
Have smoked weed since age 23(1998) gave up for a year in 99/2000 and smoked weed constantly since until recently quitting 24/01/2008 (7 years) I also have drunk alot of alcohol in the last three years (mostly pre-mix bourbon) I also quit that same day. Since quitting I have had some normal withdrawl symptons eg: loss of appetite, sleepless nights and agitation but I have also had constant pain localised all through abdomen and chest, I get hot flushes, chills a tingling sensation in hands and feet, somedays my arms are constantly in pain from wrist to shoulder, I get exhausted and tired from doing really mediocre chores eg: making bed, vaccuming, cooking dinner and when I climb in to bed to sleep my legs ache constantly. My doctor keeps saying this is all part of withdrawals. Has anyone else experienced these kind of withdrawl symptons and how long did it last?
