These “herbal smoke” “legal weeds” are all dangerous drugs and the complete opposite of marijuana. This stuff doesn’t even have a medical use. They’re dangerous! Trust me.
The symptoms and side affects listed above are facts. Teens are getting high on “fake weed,” a concoction also known as K2 and “spice” that is also causing hallucinations, vomiting, agitation and other dangerous effects. People are dying or freaking out on this stuff. Scary man. Stay away!
There have been hospitalizations here in San Diego. There have been 10 News reports on a 14 year old who still has a rapid heartbeat and bad psychoactive effects 6 weeks after taking “K2” a.k.a. “Genie” .
Posted By: spacasinogirl @ 04/03/2010 5:52:24 PM
I tried it last night. It isn’t at all like pot. K2 / “spice” or “gonjah” is more like a horrible hallucinogen than a relaxer. I used K2 Blonde in a two-hit bowl. It took about 5 minutes to feel the effect and it wasn’t a mellow high. It was, instead, about 90 minutes of visual and auditory hallucinations accompanied by heightened sensory experiences and diminished motor control. When my eyes were open, everything seemed to be wavy and what I was looking at before my eyes closed became distorted in my mind’s eye – for example, all of the DVDs by the TV had tails that were going around in circles.
There were a few moments when I almost panicked because the experience was not at all what I expected and extremely intense but by focusing my mental efforts on a specific object in my memory; I was able to keep the panic under control. The effects didn’t significantly subside for at least 90 minutes and some of the bad trip persisted throughout the night.
My 16 year old son tired this crap last night and TRIED TO JUMP FROM HIS BED ON THE SECOND STORY THROUGH THE WINDOW TO THE SWIMMING POOL BELOW!! He was completely out of his mind. He ended up cutting his head in 4 places and his face in 3. He had to get 69 stitches. This stuff is dangerous. The paramedics assumed he was on PCP because he was showing the same behaviors. I’ve already started writing a letter to my state representatives to have it banned Texas.
This crap causes fast heart palpitations especially when mixed with antidepressants or other drugs, its not surprising that “k2″, “gonjah” or “spice” cause similar reactions on their own or worse if it is in fact mixed with something.
Read the reports on this stuff. They all have some intense psychedelic effects similar to LSA or Ketamine, very different then marijuana. stay away.

In St. Louis, Anthony Scalzo, a pediatrician and toxicologist at Saint Louis University Hospital, says he’s seen nearly 30 teenagers come through local ERs suffering from bad trips on K2 just in the last six weeks! Scalzo says he’s spoken with his counterparts at poison-control centers in Atlanta, New Jersey, and New York City.

First–JWH018 binds to the same receptor as delta9-THC, but lacks the cannabinoid structure, so it is chemically different but biologically similar.

Second—BEWARE! in the past when “legal weed THC” / “crystalline THC” (which is not a crystal but actually an oil) was sold around here it often turned out to be PCP! That may explain the psychotic activation and increased blood pressure seen in the ER. A moderate amount of PCP often causes users to feel detached, distant, and estranged from their surroundings. Numbness of the extremities, slurred speech, and loss of coordination may be accompanied by a sense of strength and invulnerability. A blank stare, rapid and involuntary eye movements, and an exaggerated gait are among the more observable effects. Auditory hallucinations, image distortion, severe mood disorders, and amnesia may also occur. In some users, PCP may cause acute anxiety and a feeling of impending doom; in others, paranoia and violent hostility, and in some, it may produce a psychoses indistinguishable from schizophrenia. Many believe PCP to be one of the most dangerous drugs of abuse. Doses of PCP, equal a drop in blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration. This may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, flicking up and down of the eyes, drooling, loss of balance,

While the debate over marijuana, legality, health benefits and negatives rages on there are many people who are in strife who care little for all these arguments because they are addicted to weed and what the masses decided about the drug matters little when your own personal life is falling apart due to addiction which is a separate point completely to all the others. If you are one of these people and are looking for tips on how to quit smoking weed then first I encourage you to shut out all of the pro and anti marijuana campaigners because your struggle is a personal one not just with marijuana but with a psychological addiction which only has tenuous links to the particular thing you are addicted to.

This does not mean that there are not specific things you need to know about marijuana in this but it all must center around your personal struggle and not all the side bullshit that goes on to do with pot. To quickly summarize what you may need to know about cannabis is this:

Marijuana is not physically addictive like other drugs that have chemicals in them that you can become dependant on, while you can suffer from withdrawal symptoms such as insomnia, vivid dreams, irritability, mild nausea and so forth by scientific measures pot is not a drug you can be physically dependant on. Addiction is a mental disease that makes you believe you need something whether it be a drug or a behavior like gambling or sex. With Marijuana the mixed messages about the drug confuse people on what is addiction and what is dependence, if you are struggling to quit smoking weed you are addicted. To confuse matters more many people who are dependant on a drug like heroin are also psychologically addicted in a double whammy that is terrible. This leads to a perception that pot is the same when it should be treated quite differently.

What this boils down to is that you CAN quit smoking weed but only if you treat this as a personal addiction that you can overcome by changing yourself and not blaming the drug first and foremost. This is not to lessen the deep pain, anxiety and helplessness that may come from living with an addiction at all nor is it to trivialize the task of climbing out of this pit of despair either as the demons of the mind are the cruelest and most punishing of all. These tips on how to quit smoking weed are just a way to set a framework you can use to realign the way you think which aids in the all important aspect of willpower which is the only real way to move beyond an addictive habit.

Quitting Smoking Pot is a Choice

Sounds obvious doesn’t it? However by choice what I mean is a carefully considered choice, a choice based on the knowledge of the benefits of quitting weed and the negatives of continuing to smoking pot. This is not a whim, a quickly drawn line in the sand or a spontaneous vow based on anger or fear or a whole host of emotions that have led to your initial acceptance that smoking marijuana is becoming hurtful to you. Choice is saying “I choose not to smoke pot” rather than saying “I love pot but I need to quit”. This may sound like a whole lot of useless semantics to many however it is a proven psychological technique that the WAY we say things and the WAY we think of things effects the outcomes because language dictates more than a simple meaning but a whole host of other desires, excuses, fears and connotations when structured poorly. So make a choice to quit smoking weed and make it an informed choice.

Action Vs Reaction

The writer Rita Mae Brown once said “A life of reaction is a life of slavery, intellectually and spiritually. One must fight for a life of action, not reaction.” and this should be a quote written down and emblazoned in your memory because this is not only good advice for life but also in the case of addiction. How often do you take action to smoke a bowl compared to as a reaction? How often is the ritual of smoking pot coming from a reaction to something: A bad day, a fight with your partner, an inconsolable sadness or rage. How often does it come from a seeming NEED to get high and zone out, a compulsion brought on my troubles or by habit compared to perhaps what it was like early on when it was exciting and fun. Those that tally up way more on the reaction scale may find the reason behind the need for their addiction from the troubles that beset them and realize that the drug is just an escape and the problems behind it are what really needs to be solved. Some may find it easier to work on the reason behind the need first and others may take heart that a deeper understanding of your personal demons can give you the strength to quit smoking weed which will allow you to face those challenges with a clearer head and more success. This is action, control of your own life rather than a reaction to compulsion and external influences which is reaction and as the quote said makes you a slave to it and to marijuana in turn.

Plan

As you may have guessed I am a fan of the written word and the practical application of words on paper may be paramount here. The choice to actively seek a solution to your problems and a change in your life to quit smoking pot will propel you forward but how to do this comes down to planning, goals and motivation. The catch 22 of this is that when you are an addict sticking with a plan and keeping motivation and goals can be difficult and a single bad day can feel mix up all of this in your head and suddenly a single smoke does not seem so evil, then another and suddenly a week has gone before you realize it and the self loathing sets in. STOP! That is the direction you do not want to take and you know it! This is where ink can be a help if not your salvation because a psychological addiction is something in your mind, if you keep all your plans in your mind it is bounds to be influences by the negative thoughts that will plague you so why would you want the pure and good new ideas being corrupted there. My advice is to write things down, write down all the bad things about smoking pot, write down all the good things that will come from being weed free, write down you plan of attack whether it be quitting cold turkey or gradually limiting your smoking down to none at all. Write it down and keep it because those words do not change no matter how much your demands mess with your mind your pledge taken at your most insightful and enlightened point will always be there to set you back on the track you know you want to be on.

Persistence Outweighs Performance

Some people may have an easy time when quitting a marijuana habit but others may not, there are so many variables in this mix it is impossible to predict but there is one truth to it and that is that the end outcome of being free of your addiction is worth more than any failures you have along the way. Most people who try to quit any addictive behavior do not do so on their first try, nor their second and many more beyond that often. This is disheartening and depressing but it does not need to be if you do not want it to be. Every time you fall, every time you give in, every time you blunder on your goal to giving up weed you learn something new about yourself and about the world and each of those experiences is ammunition for the next fight. Victory goes to those who persist and learn and adapt and survive so when you call your performance on quitting into question remember it is not how easy it is, it is if you make it in the end and if you maintain the drive despite the pitfalls that will ensure your success.

Have you heard of “Cannabis”? It is a type of a flower-bearing plant and it has three different species. It is also used in various ways, as a fiber or hemp, as a medicine or just for “fun”.

Many people think that Cannabis is in all cases safe when used as a recreational drug. in truth it is highly addictive and might have destructive consequences on your life. Every day lives are wrecked and families are destroyed because of this terrible act of having “fun”.

A wide number of people strive hard to stop smoking weed, but unfortunately, did not succeed only because there are some missing approaches.

I have gathered some tips to succeed in this aim.

1. It is important that you should bare in mind that must decide that you actually wish to stop and have a new life. This cannot be done if you have not but your heart and mind into it. If you want to stop this vice, then you have to do so with 100% motivation. Don’t lose your self-esteem. It is important that you believe in yourself. For instance, even if you go to rehabilitation it is futile if you don’t stick to what you committed to do. Remember, others are there to support you. But you are the big source of help comes from you.

One of the simplest ways so that you will be reminded of reaching your aim, is to write down all the negative effects of your addiction. On the opposite side of your list, write down the positive things that you wish to attain. This will serve as your motivating factors.

2 . Stopping the addiction is similar to going out of the battle field. Therefore, to win this battle it is important that you get to know your adversary. To stop your addiction, admit that this weed is the thing that you are going to battle. It is your worst enemy.

Take note that marijuana will take away your good state of mind. It will steal your good future, your free-will. It will, instead, create a barrier towards your bright future.

Knowing this enemy of yours means gathering information about it and the withdrawal process. Since you aim to stay away from this social drug, research on the any difficulties that will possibly arise upon withdrawal. Research over the internet and find the reliable resources. This knowledge will empower you .By this, you can comprehend the real thing that drug addicts must go through to find the brand new life. This will serve as your incentive.

3. Reach out to other. Be even more friendlier and create a support network. Opening yourself and communicating with others is prime to achieve your objective.

Remember not to isolate yourself from others. But not just any people but choose those who have optimistic views and positive behavior. These ones must have a broad idea as to what you are going through and what you want to achieve. Being surrounded with people like these will encourage you in your search for psychological liberty. Choose your friends and stay away from you so-called friends who influenced you to smoke weed.

Lastly, remember to stay positive always and you will surely succeed.

Marijuana or Cannabis is considered to be innocuous by many people or rather as a social drug though in reality it is extremely addictive and could also produce harmful consequences in your life. Many a lives are destroyed everyday and families wrecked as a result of this dreadful habit.

Many people really wish if they could stop smoking weed but fail utterly in this as they don’t have the right approach. There are a few steps that you must take in order to help you in quitting this habit.

First of all you must decide that you actually want to quit. This is the most important thing to do and also this can’t be done half-heatedly. If you really want to get rid of this habit you must do so with complete motivation as well as self belief. Rehabilitation will be an utter failure sans commitment and this commitment can come only as a result of the addict’s strong will power.

In order to make a solid commitment first make a list of all the negative things that you can associate with the habit of smoking weed and then also make a list of those things that you intend to gain by quitting the habit.

As knowing your enemy is a must in any battle here too it is very important. If you still haven’t done so you must acknowledge weed as your enemy.

What marijuana actually does is rob you of your freedom as it acts as a crutch and puts an end to experiencing life to its fullest. You must first research the symptoms of withdrawal know them well and understand the duration time it takes to quit the habit. Reading the books on addiction, psychology, or emotional issues to increase your knowledge even further could also help to some extent. The more you understand about the problem and about drug abuse the greater your commitment and motivation will be. You must also try and establish a support network as communication is a key to success.

Another thing that could be of help is surrounding yourself with loving, supporting people, who know about your condition and your goals and would encourage you in your quest for mental freedom. You must also stay away from your old friends who used smokes weed as much as possible at least at the starting of the detoxification stage.

Another tip to keep away from friends who pressurize you from stop quitting the habit is o tell them that you are only taking a break and not quitting for good. Once you have enough days behind you and also have gained enough self confidence you can proudly say that you don’t feel the need to smoke pot any longer to feel happy. This day will be the happiest and most rewarding days of your life. Though this may seem to be hard in the beginning you could stay busy to help yourselves. You could also experience a wide gamut of withdrawal symptoms including fatigue, insomnia and mood swings being very common and hence you need to keep yourselves active to free your mind and also to stop obsessing about cannabis.

For those who are willing to quit the habit of smoking weed there are many ways that can help you to end this habit. Overcoming drug addiction is not something that should be done on your own and you need to establish some kind of support system in place that will help you in successfully quitting the habit and also to move on in life in pursuit of more productive things

Quitters Really Do Sometimes Win

First thing that you must do while planning to quit the habit of smoking weed is to overcome the negative connotations associated with quitting. Once you’ve quit smoking weed you begin to notice that there are many other things in life that are so much more blissful which weed had robbed you of. Actually it is a liberating experience to quit the habit and overcome the bonds of addiction.

Eliminate Denial in Order to Stop Smoking Marijuana

The most difficult thing to do is to realize the harmful effects of smoking weed on ones life. There are umpteen excuses that the addicts could come up with along the way to quitting the habit to convince themselves that they need not stop smoking marijuana. The truth is that not one of these excuses is valid when compared to the good things that are associated with stopping the habit. Though smoking pot may not make you a raging maniac, this drug could have deep psychological impact. It completely steals away your motivation. Have you ever thought of the improvement in the status of your life if you simply stop smoking weed? For those who are ready to take that significant step and reclaim control of your life there are some tips that can help you overcome your addiction.

NLP and Marijuana Addictions

Treatments like Hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) help in changing the way your body reacts to addiction. Hence this helps you in quitting the weed smoking habit as you learn how to surmount the things that trigger the need to smoke marijuana as well as the temptation that smoking pot presents.

NLP works from inside your mind in order to overcome these things instead of putting you at battle with your mind. When you begin to become aware of the triggers that stimulate your need for weed, you can overcome them and go for the real solid methods that are necessary to stop smoking marijuana once and for all.

It is not at all easy to overcome addictions even with help of methods like NLP and hypnotherapy. These methods when used to assist you though can be really important tools for making your efforts to quit weed smoking as it helps in restoring a person’s control over the mind and making the difficulties of withdrawal much more manageable.

For those who are struggling with drug addictions, aid is close at hand. You need not fight with your addictions alone. With the help of methods like NLP you can get the necessary help you require to quit weed smoking without burdening friends and family with your addiction.
