why the heck is marijuana illegal in America??
i am going to spill my heart out on this one because i feel so strongly about it.. when i smoke pot i feel great im happy (while i smoke and after) i feel more motivated, and relaxed i get into activities like reading because i get this urge to learn.
also i have quit for 3 to 6 month at a time with no withdrawal syndromes whatsoever.
it is true that everyone reacts differently (and i happen to have a very positive reaction to it) to it…
however that is true about cigarettes and alcohol too but they remain legal.
magick: do you seriously think that is why.. if so you are very ignorant and not that bright… the things you listed have happened numerous times with people who were drunk.. i am actually appalled at ur supporting facts they are so irrelevant to the case.. even if weed were legal it would be illegal to operate any kind of vehicle under the influence… which is the same with alcohol which is legal does this not make sense to you?

how to pass an “at home drug test” for marijuana?
i have heard so much stuff about bleach, vitamin b, niacin, tea, and mostly water dilution. I stopped smoking a few days ago, and i should be getting drug tested around august 11th. I don’t want to use any of the store bought detox drinks, and i’m willing to get some grocery store items if necessary, but i need all serious answers. I’m not addicted to weed, i can stop whenever the **** i want without any withdrawals. and if you are going to say, “uhh just don’t smoke” (generic anti-marijuana advice)– just don’t even bother answering. you’re stupid, i have a 4.0 and washboard abs. SMD. so please, people who know what they are talking about, and preferably daily smokers, feed me your knowledge.

What is the technical explanation for headaches among individuals withdrawing from Marijuana ( Cannabis ) use?
I know headaches are among the symptoms that many people do experience upon withdrawal from SMOKING (and no other methods, for this questions purpose for now) and I know that they start within about 24 hours of withdrawal and last a few days (or occasionally longer due to prolonged heavy use) and intensify after day 2 till they slowly subside.
I do know the brain itself cannot feel any pain, hence i’m curious to know what is exactly causing and what is exactly feeling this pain.
What I’m interested in, is the technical explanation and the biological cause of this pain. Let’s say, the individual has reported repeatedly that the pain occurs after every instance of withdrawal from regular use, and is ONLY felt in the area immediately behind the forehead (It’s certainly not felt deeper than 2 inches from the scalp). mostly on the right and left sides of the forehead and hardly ever around the center; the areas above both eyes basically.
the pain is not quite constant, it seems that it’s intensity is ever-changing and it feels the most intense near the eyebrows (where the forehead has a mild tiny bump right above-behind the eyebrows).
Now, i wanna find out what is it that’s causing this pain and which parts of the head are feeling this and why. Is the pain due to changes in blood vessels? is it coming from any other part of the brain? or maybe it’s just due to neurochemical changes? and if the brain itself cannot feel the pain, then what is feeling this pain? the skull? the eyes? the blood vessels themselves?
I appreciate people who treat others with etiquette, respect and logic. PLEASE ONLY ANSWER the question directly and PLZZZZ for your beloved Jesus’s sake AVOID all that PROPAGANDA talk. This is a question with an answer, I’m sure and the answer is not “just say no to pot” ok? so lets behave like adults and get to the bottom of this scientifically!
thanx in advance! ![]()

question about methadone and marijuana?
I have been on methadone maintenance for about 2 weeks now. It’s been a life saver in helping with withdrawal and I no longer have to be shooting up all day long. I find it really helps kill any withdrawal I have but it doesnt get me near as high as heroin or morphine ever did. I smoked some weed the other night and it was the first time i got stoned while on methadone. I didnt find the high to be as good as it was on morphine or heroin as well. I used to love getting stoned on heroin and morphine but I find it is not enjoyable at all on methadone. I also found it took away from the effects that methadone produces. It took away the warm, relaxed and social aspects of the methadone. It also made me lazy and put me in an agitated mood. When I woke up the next morning I didnt feel that great at all. When I got my daily dose of methadone I slowly started to feel better again. This is great because I used to love smoking weed and now since it takes away from the goodness of methadone I am not going to smoke anymore. Does anyone know why this happened? howcome I got this reaction with the methadone and not with any of the other opiates I have used (oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, heroin, dilaudid, codeine). And did this happen to anyone else on methadone (like any similar experiences)? Thanks
P.S. I dont need/want to know about how dangerous mixing methadone and weed can be. and I dont want no “go ask your doctor” answers.
John: thanks for the reply. I started using opiates fr anxiety/depression and a severe case of adhd. Stimulants helped me but didnt help the anxiety at all and made me more depressed when they wore off. I truly believe I am the “hyper” type you mentioned and I think I have a dysfunction in the opiate part of my brain. I think I will be on this for life because since i’ve been on opiates I havent had a depressed stage at all. Some people say that opiates give a mood boost and you get tolerance to it. But I must disagree with that. I did get tolerance to the methadone and yes the euphoria has gone away but the antidepressant effects havent left. I am an opiate user for life because they truly make me feel normal! not high. Just like stimulants lose there good feelings and there euphoria over time but te effect they have on concentration doesnt go away the same goes for opiates. The antidepressant effect doesnt fade away but the calming and euphoric effects do. Thanks for your answer!!

Marijuana has pretty much destroyed me…HELP?
So I recently quit smoking pot (I have smoked every day since the beginning of the year) and I was wondering if sleeplessness was a part of the withdrawal symptoms. It’s been like this for 3 nights and I HATE IT because I have to get a lot done during the day and when I lose sleep I can’t get things done and I do badly at work.
Also, I heard that you lose weight when you quit smoking pot…is that true?
ALSO (sorry), I’ve been very nauseas today and couldnt get off the couch cause it was so horrible and I couldnt breathe as well…is that another symptom?
Help?

how can i get sleep after quitting marijuana?
i quit weed almost three weeks ago and i still don’t get enough sleep. some nights i have perfect sleep, but on some nights i only sleep for about two to three hours. this is one of those nights right now. my question is what can i do to go to sleep naturally? and how long will this last? is this normal to last this long?
i quit weed for about three months in may 2007 and i didn’t have any withdrawal symptoms. the reason maybe that i went to india for the summer so i experienced jet lag. the second time i quit was for five months last year on march 2008. back then i was a heavy smoker and i didn’t have any withdrawal symptoms at all. so why is that i have withdrawal symptoms right now?
i don’t ever want to touch weed again because it ruined my social life and my family is hurt by it. so please don’t suggest getting high again.

Marijuana causing mood swings?
My friend’s husband smoked weed for 7 years before they got married and she made him stop once they got married and he seemed to be ok at first. However, lately he has been ‘acting out’ by yelling at her when he is angry and just going on and on (sometimes I hear him in the background when I am on the phone with her). I am starting to think that his mood swings are being caused by his withdrawal from the drug. Could this be why he is acting like this? If so, will it get better in time, or does he need therapy to help him? I’m worried for my friend, because she said he gets in her face sometimes and has physically touched her before! Help!
Sorry, he stopped smoking only 3 or 4 months ago when they got married. Before that, he smoked for 7 years up UNTIL they got married.

should drugs like marijuana, salvia, shrooms, that show no true physical or mental harm, be illegal?
i wrote a question asking whether salvia should be illegal or not, and got all the answers i figured i would get. the people that said no it should stay legal advocate for freedom and the “if it doesnt hurt anyone lets do it” mentality as do i. the ones that said yes relate it to other psychoactive drugs like acid and hardcore crack/meth, saying if we leave this legal we might as well make those legal. the only problem is.. where are the withdrawal effects of salvia that u get from trying to stop smoking crack or shooting heroin? there are none. i advocate for legalizing that which doesnt hurt people limiting it to a reasonable mary jane, salvia divinorum which is legal, and shrooms. what do u guys think?
everything has a bad rep but do your homework on this one id rather not any answers that are completely bias. and dont relate the drugs to the governments position on them please i already know what the government thinks. i know people think that by doing these drugs teens might wanna try other ones but if everyone knows their stats and info of withdrawal symptoms of the actual BAD drugs im sure teenagers and adults wouldnt.
maybe by keeping things illegal, the people who break the law to try shrooms, since it doesnt do anything but has penalties of a hardcore drug… they feel like theyre already risking their ass for one drug, why not heroine if the govt treats it as bad in its classification bullshit. we all know its NOT. ever think about that people?
should things that dont hurt people in any way be illegal?
yeah cite your sources… cause some fool tried stating a bunch of bs facts that made no sense. everything states was disproven here:

haters keep hating. open ur minds with ganj. maybe then you’ll be able to see past what you’ve been brainwashed to think.

a few marijuana questions?? [please read]?
- i havnt smoked in a week
- i feel like im like very mean now
-i think i am going through withdrawal or something i dont know
-my dealer didnt get any today so ive convinced myself that he and my friend have this scheme to not give me weed
-i feel like im really annoying my friends now..like everything i do i feel like they dont want me around
-i feel high right now, kind of, i think its a mind over matter thing
the more important ones:
when i am high i tend to hurt myself and i wonder if this is normal. i usually put the song Sober[P!ink] on repeat. then theres a bunch of crap i cant remember, in short ive woken up in pools of blood twice. my arms are so cut up it literally looks like i jammed my arms in a shredder or something. the cuts are deep and im pretty sure they are permanant.
ok, in short my questions are: Am i going through withdrawal or am i just really craving it? Is waking up to find that i have somehow mutalated myself with virtually no memory of doing so, normal? [for somebody who smoked weed like 3 times a day everyday for 2 weeks straight[the first day of the 2 weeks was my 3rd time doing it but first time doing it myself, and yes those 3 times i got the paranoid feeling, i actually thought i had died but continued "living" in a paraell universe with no knowledge of my death] [i tend to take very hard hits, usually it takes like 4 exhales to get it all out and i hold it in until i cant breath anymore, i keep smoking until i think i am ready to pass out which i know is impossible but i mean when i cant hold the can anymore i kind of have no choice but to stop...yes i use a can...goya can to be precise. could this add to it?]
those are the questions lol
sorry i cant like concentrate anymore to form that crap up there into real english
-also i have Dysthymia[w.e] aka Chronic Depression [7 years] and a history of cuttng so no it wasnt like OMG I CUT MYSELF HOW COULD I it was more like “o crap”
omg! why is it that only the friggin “dont do drugs squad” are the ones who answer the drug questions
really makes me wonder…
i aint ask for a lecture im asking for answers to my questions
and i dont see what you people mean by “acting stupid”
