What can one do about Physical Marijuana Withdrawal (gastritis and anxiety)?
I have gastritis and anxiety from smoking blunts everyday for the last 5 or 6 years. Needless to say the withdrawal is unbearable (severe stomach pains, tightness of the chest, no appetite etc…). I’m pretty sure there’s nothing really to do aside from just riding this thing out for a few weeks (it’s already been almost a week and it’s only gotten slightly better W/ MEDICATION).

ok i tried to stop smoking the ganja cold turkey but i found the mental and physical needs for it are strong i know alot of people say dope has no withdrawls but smoking a blunt to your head is fuckign sweet its not the best thing to do becouse if you dont smoke cigarettes and smoke alot of blunt that can couse athsma attacks not so severre that you need a puffer but enuff to make some one worry . the best thing i can say is smoke smaller joints smoke with a couple friends like a cirle of three so you can catch your breath and ya dont hual on the j’s just puff em and you should just tget the urrg not to smoke any more
It might take another week or so for the anxiety and lack of appetite to subside. THC is stored in the fact cells, so it takes a long time (up to a month or so), for it to be totally out of your system. What medication are you taking? A benzodiazepine (like Xanax) should help. For stomach pains, have you tried Pepto-Bismol?
I know this may sound off – but I would try therapy. Sometimes the biggest battle with an addiction is in your head (not like in your head that you’re making it up) and just talking about it can help. Try talking to a friend first and if that isn’t helping go to someone professional – feel better! and good job on trying to kick this
