I have quit cigarettes and marijuana and i feel a little cranky?
i have been quite ill (vomiting) since the start of the week. I have decided to take advantage of this sudden illness, and have stopped smoking cigarettes and marijuana. Today, I feel really cranky and short tempered. How long does these withdrawals last for? I have been smoking both for about 15 years now, and yes, have stopped cold turkey. Would appreciate your opinions/experiences.

I knew someone like that and they were cranky for about a month. I guess it varies. It’s important to step back and think if you really want to have an outburst or if its just the withdrawals changing your behavior.
Quitline 1-877-724-1090 They are experts and will schedule real therapy time with you if you want it.
Well I stopped smoking cigarettes 5 days ago and I though I was hopelessly addicted. I was CRANKY.
Wanna know what helped?
THE PATCH. I’m wearing one right now.

well first of all good luck. hope you succeed. you will feel rough really rough for a week. try drinking lots of water eat plenty of fruit and plenty of exercises swimming running.as time passes you will smell better tastes better and stop being short tempered. once Again good luck.
Me too (sorta)!
I also got a really bad cold and couldn’t smoke for a week.
And right now I am trying to slingshot off that and be done with ciggs and sodas..
Vitamin Water taking the place of Coke / Dr. Pepper…
Mary Jane and I are still friendly. But that – i take one or two small puffs every 3-4 hours and can be good all day. 20 entire cigarrettes a day is grotesque.
I’ll tell ya, im really not that cranky.
So me – it’s probably the herb.
Cause I do get edgy as hell after only 24 hours without my field medicine. Without my little indian.. Without kissing the green fairy.. matter of fact….
try salvia divinorum it’ll help you with the pain relief and the cravings. Its primary psychoactive constituent is a diterpenoid known as salvinorin A. salvinorin A is a potent κ-opioid receptor agonist. what is does is it binds itself to certain opiate receptors in the brain called the Kappa-opioid receptor. Kappa-opioid receptor agonists are different in that they provide effective pain control without the dependence and respiratory depression that is associated with the “mu receptor”. drugs like heroin, methadone and morphine attach themselves to the mu receptor. you might call that the “main addiction receptor”.so basically it can replace opiates in the brain thus getting rid of your cravings or withdrawal symptoms. the great thing about salvia is its NOT toxic or addictive in anyway and there are no withdrawal symptoms if you stop using it… good luck!
